On Saturday, February 3rd  saw a flurry of GAA action across various divisions in both football and hurling competitions.

In the Allianz Football Division 1 round 2, Mayo secured a narrow victory over Dublin with a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-14, showcasing their resilience against the formidable Dublin team. In Division 2, Armagh dominated Meath with a convincing 2-16 to 0-10 win, while Fermanagh also claimed a victory over Kildare with a score of 2-10 to 0-12.

Meanwhile, in Division 3, Down displayed an impressive performance against Limerick, securing a comprehensive win with a scoreline of 3-16 to 0-09. In Division 4, Carlow emerged victorious over Waterford with a score of 1-17 to 0-09, while Laois dominated Wexford with a commanding 1-19 to 0-12 win.

Turning to hurling, in the Allianz Hurling Division 1 Group B, Galway delivered a masterclass performance against Westmeath, securing an emphatic victory with an astonishing scoreline of 4-31 to 0-12. In another thrilling encounter, Dublin faced Tipperary, with Tipperary emerging victorious with a scoreline of 2-27 to 0-22, showcasing their prowess on the field.

In the lower divisions of hurling, Sligo and Warwickshire emerged victorious in Division 3A, with Sligo defeating Cavan and Warwickshire overcoming Leitrim. In Division 3B, Lancashire secured a narrow victory over Longford with a scoreline of 0-12 to 1-09, in a tightly contested match.

Throughout the day’s proceedings, there were several standout moments, including impressive goals from players such as Mayo’s Coen, Armagh’s Cian McConville, and Carlow’s Jamie Clarke in football, as well as Galway’s Conor Whelan, Jason Flynn, and Cianan Fahy in hurling. These moments added excitement and drama to the matches, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
